Adventures aboard our Redwing 30. Sunday, June 7, 2015. Sail #2015 - 1: Frostbite Cruise. Oddly enough, while the last of the snow only melted a few weeks ago, we managed to get out on Exploits. For our first sail of 2015 in early June. Sadly, most boats are still on the hard. And some new sailors on Trade Winds. The statistician aboard Gaila. Reported an average sailing speed of 5 knots. . Exploits: October 2012
http://redwingexploits.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Adventures aboard our Redwing 30. Monday, October 29, 2012. Good Bye to Bounty. Tall ship Bounty was lost in Hurricane Sandy off the coast of Cape Hatteras today. While there are many unanswered questions why she sailed into one of the largest storms we've seen on the Atlantic in years, thoughts now must go out to the 2 missing crew (including the Captain) and their families. Length was doubled and tonnage was increased. Saturday, October 13, 2012. Single digit temperatures today and double digit wind ma...

Exploits: Truck Power
http://redwingexploits.blogspot.com/2014/06/truck-power.html
Adventures aboard our Redwing 30. Monday, June 9, 2014. Decided to repower Exploits. With 2 new truck batteries. With 950 cca they should provide loads of power to fire up the iron jib. Truck batteries are also a heck of lot cheaper than any battery that has "marine" in it's name. June 19, 2014 at 10:28 PM. I really enjoy reading about Exploits. Do you have any experience with this? Are there simply bushings top and bottom? Thanks for any insight. January 11, 2015 at 8:51 PM. August 10, 2014 at 12:59 AM.

Exploits: September 2013
http://redwingexploits.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Adventures aboard our Redwing 30. Sunday, September 15, 2013. It seemed appropriate to reflect on the 2013 sailing season on this last weekend of Canadian summer. While the sun has finally broken through and the first threat from tropical storms passed us without fanfare, fall is evidently on the way as the air has a distinct "chill" to it. This year's season however is not about what we achieved on the water, but for the events that occurred off the water. We celebrated the marriage of our son Mark and ...

http://redwingexploits.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Adventures aboard our Redwing 30. Saturday, February 23, 2013. Halifax International Boat Show Day. We had a beautiful day to drive down to the Halifax International Boat Show. It meant we missed a day of skiing but we always enjoy bumping into our sailing buddies and spending the day talking about sailing. On our first stop to the Yacht Shop. Booth, I bumped into "Wilson" who I blogged about on August 12, 2012. We were also pleased to see Gerry from St. Peter's Marina. As we were leaving we chatted with...
