The softer side of technology. Tilly and the buttons. Coop door maiden run. March 30, 2015. Boulder’s first maker faire. February 3, 2015. We’ve got data. January 27, 2015. January 6, 2014. February 3, 2015. Moss skirt and Renfrew top. After the Cooper bag contest, I was really hungry for an easy garment make. So, I busted out my trusty Renfrew top pattern. This time with long sleeves. I extended the cuffs a bit for a color blocking effect of sorts – I like the way it turned out! Now the Moss skirt.

In my mind, the single greatest building in the world is the Hagia Sophia – Shrine of the Holy Wisdom of God – (the Temple of Wisdom). About photography, inspired by coffee. A day in …. Dinner in Venice: Hotel Venissa. By william on 22 November 2012. Every now and then, life just throws something your way that is unexpected (yet not), delightful, perhaps even sublime. Such was tonight’s dinner. A long drive from the vicinity of Milan to Venice, a couple of vaporetti rides to Mazzarbo, a quick dump the bags in the room, then onto the restaurant. We are the only diners, and they have stayed for us. The dinner is sublime. But with all of t...

About photography, inspired by coffee. A day in …. By william on 11 September 2012. I thought I’d post a collection of photos I took of people while in Istanbul in August. They don’t intentionally tell a story, except for each one having their own. First is Wai, a New Yorker I met at the hotel, fellow photographer and we hung out for a bit, taking photos, having dinner, sharing the city’s life and vibrancy. Thanks for a great first day Wai, helped me a lot to get oriented:. The next four are from the nig...

About photography, inspired by coffee. A day in …. By william on 1 October 2012. What struck me most about many of the pieces in this museum was how human, how personable they were. You have a sense, even with the Grandiose Alexander’s Sarcophagus, that these are tales about and of people, the classic world is not some kind of obscure, tumbled down world of white marble, but it is a world of colour, of mourning and human tragedy, courage, brutality, artistry. And one of Egyptian origin. Very nice job wor...
