Squishypig Bites: Cranberry and Feta Salad with Spiced Walnuts

http://www.squishypigbites.blogspot.com/2007/11/cranberry-and-feta-salad-with-spiced.html

Cranberry and Feta Salad with Spiced Walnuts. And this salad at Bronte Bistro (in Joseph-Beth's Bookstore). This salad is a melody of tastes: acidity from the sherry wine vinaigrette. Salty from the feta, spicy fire from the walnuts, sweet yet tart flavor from the cranberries and a smokey essence from the turkey. I swear I licked the plate it was so good. Cranberry and Feta Salad with Spiced Walnuts. 1 Tbsp sherry wine vinegar. 3/4 cup 3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar. 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil. 189; tsp salt.

Yum!: Strawberry Pancakes

http://twistininmykitchen.blogspot.com/2007/12/strawberry-pancakes.html

Monday, December 3, 2007. I find that Rachael Ray recipes are often hit or miss, yet I still keep trying them out. I suppose it's because every now and then, I hit on one that's a true gem. Take her Strawberry Pancakes. For example. This is a favorite lazy summer brunch or dinner at our house, especially when topped with whipped cream and served with a side of bacon. 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. 2 teaspoons baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. So, here's the ...

Yum!: Turkey Chili

http://twistininmykitchen.blogspot.com/2007/12/turkey-chili.html

Monday, December 3, 2007. I am not a fan of ground turkey, so I was amazed at how much I love this recipe! I got it from All Recipes. With just a few small omissions, even the boys will eat it! It's even better the next day and makes the best topping for nachos - and I am not a fan of chili based nachos. My omissions: habanero pepper, red pepper flakes, hot pepper sauce. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 onion, chopped. 5 cloves garlic, minced. 2 small green bell peppers, seeded and chopped. 1/2 cup cheap beer.

Yum!: Texas Caviar

http://twistininmykitchen.blogspot.com/2007/12/texas-caviar.html

Monday, December 3, 2007. This is a recipe that's versatile. Eat it as a salad, or serve as a dip with tortilla or pita chips. This is a great potluck addition. Tastes even better the next day. 2 cans black beans, drained and rinsed. 1 can yellow corn, drained and rinsed. 1 can white corn, drained and rinsed. 2 cans diced tomatoes and green chiles (such as Ro-Tel), drained. 1 can blackeyed peas, drained and rinsed (I omit these as I despise them). 2 T chopped cilantro, dried or fresh. Clone of a Cinnabon.

Squishy Pillows

Soft and Squishy Pillows. Squishy pillows are preferable to many people for not only the softness they provide, but the added nestling quality they provide. Few things are as comforting as a crawling into bed after a long day and gripping your pillow tightly, feeling it squish between your hands, knees or even feet. Pillows that are made with more firm qualities provide support in different ways, but certain squishy pillows like neck pillows. And microbead body pillows. As popular as squishy pillows are ...
