The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in. Its net of wonder forever."—Jacques Cousteau. April 12, 2010. Arrival in Rockport, Texas. The boat arrived in Rockport on Thursday April 8….now the work begins. We had her set up in the yard at House of Boats. I removed the old name before she was taken off the truck. Sweet Melissa is gone and The Pearl has arrived. Backing into the boat yard. Taking her off the truck. Getting her in her place. Ready for the work to begin. Old paint is gone. Hamburg Cove, CT.

The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in. Its net of wonder forever."—Jacques Cousteau. December 31, 2014. Dec 30 - Miami, FL. Marine Stadium - Anchorage. 8220;We can't be afraid of change. You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as an ocean, a sea. Holding onto something that is good for you now, may be the very reason why you don't have something better.”. A few of the large beautiful homes on the ICW.

The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in. Its net of wonder forever."—Jacques Cousteau. April 28, 2015. Making a Conch Horn. We looked at quite a few sites on how to make a conch horn and all the basic instructions seemed to be the same, but those instructions left a few things a little unclear to the first time horn maker. I hope I can make the instructions a little clearer. The next step is to make a hole in this surface. You must drill through the spiral structure enough to allow an air pass...

Seattle and Canada: July 13, 2001 - Seattle
http://canada2001-susie.blogspot.com/2009/09/july-13-2001-seattle.html
July 13, 2001. July 13, 2001 - Seattle. We took the 10:30 ferry to Port Angeles Washington. So our car had to be in line at right after the 6:00 ferry left. Stan took the car over and put it in line, then came back to the room. It is a little cool this morning. The ride on the ferry was a lot rougher than our trip earlier in the week. We drove down the coast of Washington to a little town called Kingston. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). July 13, 2001 - Seattle. July 12, 2001 - Victoria.

We only hiked the first two mile to Hanakapiai Beach and then hiked another two miles up the valley to Hanakapiai Falls. View of Ke'e Beach from the trail. View of the Na Pali coast. 25th Anniversary Trip to Maui. July 5, 2006 - Travel Day. The flight to Maui wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. We arrived about 30 minutes earlier than expected…that was nice. The airport was kind of neat, open air walkways. I guess in Hawaii you don’t need much air conditioning. We rented a car from Word of Mouth Car Rental. We called them when we got our luggage and they picked us up. They were very friendly and easy to deal with. No lines! We went to Penne Pasta. The beach was not the best for s...

25th Anniversary Trip to Maui. July 14, 2006 - Farewell Paradise. Our trip is over. Hard to believe it went so fast. We arrived in Houston around 2:00 PM. The flight home was easy, it went by quicker than I expected. Now we are back to the real world….but I have plenty of pictures to remind me of our time in paradise. 25th Anniversary Trip to Maui. July 13, 2006 - Last Day. View of Makawao and Pukalani. This was our last breakfast on the lanai….I will miss it. We slept in a little and then packed up and headed towards Haleakala. We drove up Lahainaluna Road for a view of the town before we left. What a drive to Haleakala, sea level to 10,000 feet in less than 2 hours! View of the Big Island from Haleakala. We drove down through Makawoa and Haiku, stopped and had a picnic lunch watching the windsurfers at Hookipa Beach.

September 15-20, 2009. September 20 – Going Home. We enjoyed our last breakfast at the inn. Portuguese sweet bread French toast, sausage, muffins, mixed fruit, juice and coffee. I think I will miss having breakfast ready for me each morning. It was easy to get spoiled. We did a little last minute packing and left for the airport. Our flights (Providence to Orlando and then Houston) were on time and very smooth. No last minute troubles this time. Final look at Newport - Bannister's Wharf.

http://newport2009-susie.blogspot.com/2009/09/september-18-boat-show-day.html
September 15-20, 2009. September 18 – Boat Show. Another wonderful breakfast started our day. This morning it was raspberry peach pancakes, sausage, orange bread, honeydew melon and blueberries, juice and coffee. We spent time later in the day walking through the old colonial part of town. We went to the White Horse Tavern. For a beer and clam chowder. It is the oldest tavern in the Untied States…built in 1673. Just think of all the people who have been through the doors and had a beer there. The survey ...

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11. Sunday, January 20, 2013. Santa also brought me a car! I love it and I always want to drive it! Abby slept late most mornings on Christmas vacation, so Mommy and I got to enjoy a quite first breakfast while she was still sleeping. One day, I decided to sit in Daddy's big chair and eat. Dinner at the Hrachs. Some pictures from a typical Hrach dinner.
