Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Back from Las Vegas. Mom and I had a great trip to Las Vegas to stay with Jolie, Rob and Jackson and Dylan. On Friday Mom and I made 3 batches of cookie dough and dinner while everyone was at school. Monday, April 20, 2009. It's been several months since I've written about my happenings. We had a cold and snowy winter for Salem. The first real heat and sunshine came 5 1/2 months later. Mom is still in her apartment at Slopers. I just got back from a quick trip to California to be with friends from high school. Brian is getting married in less than a week. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. As we were putting together the winter SSHS 2007 newsletter, we were very sad at the number of parents that had died recently. Actually, we had debated whether to list all those losses because over the last few years, we have missed many losses to classmates. Our intention is not to exclude anyone. I haven’t felt that loss. Sunday, September 21, 2008. Today we took a group to Yaquina Bay to go crabbing. Mike was the high bidder for a crabbing trip at the Candalaria Auction last spring. We caught 5 crabs. The two quilts for the South Sports Auction brought in $2800. See Lora's blog for more details. The football field quilt was purchased and then given to the widow of Guido Caldarazzo. Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Brian and Leslie Engaged. Brian and Leslie are engaged! Sunday around noon, Brian and Leslie went for a hike near Elkhorn on the Little North Fork. Surrounded by the beautify of this autumn, and a natural water fall, Brian asked for her hand in marriage. She said YES. Barley was the first to congratulate. Tuesday, November 25, 2008. These handsome guys were acting cool but they can really rock out with ROCKBAND. Dylan sang, Jackson played the guitar, and Jolie or I played the drums. Jackson got Little GG to shake her booty to the heavy metal music. It was a highlight to the trip to Las Vegas. (They might have been on their toes in the first picture:).
