DIY, Recipes, turning the daunting into the doable. Red and Turquoise Baby Girl Nursery. I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday. We started our December off with a trip to the Cayman Islands. My hubby has work there every year and I gripe and groan about going because I want SNOW and COLD WEATHER and I want to decorate and sip a hot tottie while gazing at my beautiful Christmas tree! BUT, once we get there… I’m in heaven. Staying at the Ritz Carlton is HARD WORK PEOPLE! Rum punch or a beer? Home Fab...

Living an Uncommon Life. The lavender dress →. February 17, 2015. We’d complained that this had been such a mild winter. I know that sounds odd. Most dread the cold months, but as I’ve said, I look forward the pace of winter and the opportunity to slow down. As much as I am looking forward to a warm impending vacation, I’ll be sad to miss some of this, most of this. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. The lavender dress →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Graphite Paris Grey : Headboard. I found this headboard at a local thrift shops months ago. In my garage it sat - until this past week! A repeat client of mine decided she'd snatch it up. We played around with some color ideas and finally decided on Graphite with just a touch of Paris Grey. I love the two paired together, just the perfect amount for an accent color. So lovely! Here is a custom project we just finished up. No before photos, only the afters! Not sure what to do with an old mirror? We decid...

Here is a quick before and after for you to check out! A new client of mine brought over this piece, she's using it as an entryway cabinet . We decided on Annie Sloan Duck Egg, distressing and dark wax. The top was a bit beat up so I sanded it down, re-stained and then actually did a whitewash treatment on it to give it that beautiful aged look. Here is how her guests will now be greeted when they stop over for a visit! Duck Egg never disappoints. :). Black and White Glamour! Here is how it turned out .

Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Kids' Beachy Rocking Chair. I feel so bad for not having posted since last Monday… but I don’t regret a week away from everything with my sweetheart :) Hubby and I actually got to have an entire week of just the two of us—without kiddos! They went to Grandma’s while we took our church youth group to a Christian teen conference, and then went to my brother’s wedding! This is the first time we’ve been away from them for more than a day… but we had a blast anyway :). I literally pain...
