I’m a finder at heart, what some call an ephemera magnet. I love using found objects in my art because it's making something out of nothing, out of trash, out of discarded, unwanted stuff. Recycle art. I find it a challenge to focus on any one medium or technique because I love to learn, to experiment, and am drawn to so many different art forms. I’ve been creating art since I was very young. I enjoy sharing what I make, what I know, and what I have with others.

Art Inspiration. Musings. Busy as a Seahawk Elf? I have been very busy this season creating a new set of unique cards for the holidays representing my Seattle Seahawks! In addition, I have been enjoying the freedom of creating some off-the-wall-not-your-grandma's type of holiday cards. All are now available at a local upscale Seattle grocery store, Ken's Market. Soon my cards will also be available at additional locations in the New Year. Very excited to see others enjoy my sense of humor. :-).

Monday, August 24, 2009. Mandalas, Classes, and England. My 2-month installation at the Snohomish Arts Council Gallery Store was a great success! So they've invited me to keep my mandala mirrors and some of the smaller mixed media mandalas on site (and have requested more mirrors! It's so exciting that they were well-received. Art Inspiration. Musings. Art Room on the Move. I am very excited to announce that I am remodeling my existing studio (aka, the Art Room)! Though still in my home, I am moving upstairs into a new space full of natural light, new paint, new floor - a new start. And what an opportunity it is! Let the purge of materials begin! Stacie Lynn, a country music singer-songwriter from rural southern Illinois, is no stranger to performing on stage. Making her debut performance at the age of four, Stacie quickly realized that music was her passion. She learned how to play guitar by the age of ten and was working as a professional session vocalist by the time she was thirteen. Since she made the move to Nashville in 2007, Stacie has continued to work on her music and has set her sights on releasing her sixth studio album early next year.

Igniting a Spark
June 03, 2012. Black Bean and Corn Salsa. Half a red onion. 1 clove of garlic. The juice of 1 lemon. 2 medium sized tomatoes. 1 can of black beans. 1 can of whole kernel corn. 1 teaspoon of salt. Chop up the onion and garlic and combine in the serving bowl with the lemon juice so it will cut some of the bitter while you chop the rest. Chop the remaining vegetables and add them to the bowl. June 02, 2012. 5-6 seeded Serrano peppers. 1 whole red onion. 1 whole medium sized tomato. The juice for 3 limes.
