Designer Advertising, Graphic and Interactive Design. Figure Study 3 (series). Charcoal and graaphite figure drawing. This piece is one of a series of drawings of the human form, a subject I return to often. I prefer to work in graphite and charcoal because there is always a remnant of the progress of my thoughts and feelings through the development of the piece. The lines that have been erased are still slightly visible; giving the artwork it's own memories, history and movement. 265 x 21 inches.

Designer Advertising, Graphic and Interactive Design. Some new-ish images from a series of photographs taken along the Delaware and Lehigh canal path between Allentown and Bethlehem. I love the juxtaposition of the graffiti against the Swiss-style grid and lettering of the trains. I love the contrast between the industrial and the natural, and the color choices and texture of the rusty trains against the shiny paint inspire me. Canon PowerShot SD 790 IS. I dissect and reassemble pop-up books to learn different techniques, and the books give me different ideas for cards and (eventually) a book of my own. I have found that printing too much color on printing paper causes offset problems, so I have switched mainly to colored card stock with a small amount of printing and a bit of hand lettering. Everyone has an opinion: Health and Wellness. This year my company did a discount for our benefits program. Employees could sign up for a health and wellness program and assessment to get $45 off the monthly price. I signed up and did the assessment. For some strange reason, I actually passed.
