Stacy's Arduino

I got an Arduino and decided to do some "stuff" with it. Monday, April 19, 2010. Got a keypad and an LCD. So I got my keypad and LCD in the mail. I ended up buying them from Jameco. The keypad was about $15 and the LCD was only $10. When you start adding up all of the $10 here and $15 there this project is starting to add up. I will have to list the total bill when I am done. So here is the setup. Fritzing. First of all let me apologize for the picture below. It looks a lot more complicated than it i...

Stacy's Arduino: March 2010

http://stacysarduino.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

I got an Arduino and decided to do some "stuff" with it. Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Driving Mrs. Ademco. The siren on my current security system is made by Ademco. To get these three things working together I am going to need something called a driver. A driver is basically a switch except the switch is flipped by a small positive input current. Drivers are used a lot for doing the same thing with motors. Another thing that I need is a charger for the battery. The charger on my current system is buil...

Stacy's Arduino: January 2010

I got an Arduino and decided to do some "stuff" with it. Sunday, January 31, 2010. A simple alarm system is pretty easy. Most alarm systems are just checking to see if the current going through a wire stops or changes in some way to say that the sensor has been tripped. Fritzing Bill of Materials:. This is what the system might look like if you want to build it with your ardurino and a small bread board. Then what it looks like on the proto shield on top of my Arduino. It is very cool and very useful.

Wednesday, January 6, 2016. I think the snow is beautiful. As I've mentioned before in other blog posts, this winter I've been trying to finish up projects. I just finished one of my favorites! First, I painted the area where the mirror used to be with chalk board paint and gave it a layer of blue paint topped with a white wash. I found some cute blue drawer pulls at hobby lobby(on sale of course! I used the little foot stool as a chair (not very comfortable! I truly love it! I now consider it a treasure.
