About Leaps and Bounds. Leaps and Bounds was conceived to fulfil a demand from both Pre-school settings and Parents for a movement and physical development programme. Researched and developed over a two year period, with expert Patricia Maude MBE, Homerton College, Cambridge University. Leaps and Bounds underpins the framework of the Curriculum Guidance for the Foundation Stage (Q.C.A., DfES) and Birth to 3 matters (SureStart). Objectives for each age range are to:-. Fun, exciting and flexible yearly lesson plans designed to fit in with the timetable of any pre-school setting. Trained instructors deliver colour coded activity blocks. Each block has a specific learning objective that is reinforced and revised. Each activity has specific teaching points and progressions to help the child develop at their own pace. Involvement with parents. At the beginning of each block children are given objectives and suggested activities to enjoy at home. Leaps and Bounds Nationwide.

I am a fully trained instructor in the Leaps and Bounds physical activity programme for Nursery children. My background has given me valuable experience in children’s exercise and physical development. I taught P.E in a Stafford primary school for 6 years and before that I competed for Great Britain as an International athlete. I am passionate about helping children to become physically active and wish to encourage as many children as possible to enjoy exercise. Leaps and Bounds Nationwide.
