Telling tales . . . Names changed to protect the innocent (sometimes). Saturday, August 4, 2012. I Want to be Just Like Honey Badger. He wouldn't bother with it, he'd probably eat the stuff in her cart, push his cart down the rest of the aisle and not cared that she was annoyed. I need to feel brave, even on days when I feel like a coward. I need to stand up for myself and really keep on my mission. I'm just as important as anyone one else on the road, in the crosswalk, or in a store. Blah, Blah, Blah!

Telling tales . . . Names changed to protect the innocent (sometimes). Thursday, September 25, 2014. It's been too long . . . Now that I'm writing this story down I can see I need to ask my daughter Megan, illustrator of other books, to illustrate this. She draws the cutest rats. Anyway, a Thursday story to either entertain or terrorize you, depending on your view of fancy rats (not the roof rats in our attic we called Terminex for.). He ran to her other shoulder and watched as she added a new food dish,...

Telling tales . . . Names changed to protect the innocent (sometimes). Monday, November 24, 2014. Turkeys at the airport AND on your table! Bear held my passport for a while (he has none). At least that's what I was thinking, but then I remembered that just getting to the airport was a heart attack . . . we stopped to get gas before heading to the airport. About 10 minutes down the freeway, David starts digging around in the front seat. He starts screaming, "STOP! I left my wallet on the gas pump! Not so...

Telling tales . . . Names changed to protect the innocent (sometimes). Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Gophers . . . Part I. Gophers have been digging in our yard at night. Either that or we have aliens digging strange holes with mounded up dirt. I'm voting for gophers, considering the dog goes potty there and then tips her head from side to side, listening to the scurrying underground. I'm not bothered by this as much as the husband. I have been to the back of our property (sounds spacious, doesn't it?

Telling tales . . . Names changed to protect the innocent (sometimes). Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Stamp and Chat with a Caribou! Yesterday, my Colorado adventure continued with a Caribou adventure. My friends, JoAnn and Kim, joined me at a local Caribou Coffee shop and we not only had a great coffee adventure (well, I had iced tea since it was so hot outside), but we had a fun crafting adventure as well. We all were very relaxed after our craft therapy and felt very crafty and caffeinated. :-). Hitting the ...

Telling tales . . . Names changed to protect the innocent (sometimes). Wednesday, November 26, 2014. It's cold outside. Windy. Very chilly for my California blood. This morning it was reported by someone (not me) that when he went out to the car, there was a dusting of snow. Seriously, I am not impressed. I have declared that I will not be exiting this nice warm house until we leave on Friday. I hope your holiday is fun and full of family and good memories. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Telling tales . . . Names changed to protect the innocent (sometimes). Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Warm moted rays slant through window blinds. In a shifting pattern of filtering dust upon the empty hardwood floor. Dozing peacefully, coal black fur rising and falling,. In serene slumber upon the warm floor, the afternoon shadows grow long. Dreaming of vittles and tidbits aplenty, unaware of lurking danger, she purrs now and again. Creeping through the long green grass and up upon the flower bed,. With a str...
