Saturday, May 23, 2015. Tap, tap, tap. I was surprised to find this stampset that I really adore make it into the next catalog and when I needed a card for my May workshop it was perfect. I unfortunately did not have a new DSP that fit my card design so I used the Moonlight DSP which I am hoarding - I love it's color combo- a gender neutral/ slightly masculine pack perfect for this type of card. Friday, October 31, 2014. Happy Halloween Holiday Home. Love this house for Halloween. Basecard is Pumpkin Pie with a layer of basic black on top 3/4 only. Cut a layer of Eggplant Envy and emboss with large polka dot embossing folder. Punch Word Window punch on the side as shown and stamp "happy halloween" from Teeny Tiny Wishes set in black through the opening. Punch a circleusing Daffodil delight CS and stamp the bats in black. I got the Bouquet Bigshot die when I saw the bouquet on the occasion catalog cover but the largest flower in the set was really huge - a bit too big to use for the projects I had in mind but the rest of the die was really quite useable and I wanted an easy way for people to make the flower so this is how I set it up for my workshop. The trees are watercolored using markers that are scribbled on an acrylic block then the colors are picked up with an aqua painter. This is one of my favorite methods of watercoloring. And colored the flower and stem with markers. Before I stamped it on watercolor paper, I gave the stamp a light spritz of water and then stamped. Friday, 13 January 2017. STVKC#29 Adhesive Free Challenge. This was indeed a challenge in every sense of the word. I had to really think about this one as I love to have lots and lots of layers on my cards. First stamped background on card layer, then cut an oval for another layer and stamped it as well. Then stamped the Maple Leaf and fussy cut it. I then touched up all the leaves by blending in some colours with my Spectrum Noir markers. Thursday, 12 January 2017.
