Zack & Barbie: Maddie and Bianca

Tuesday, April 1, 2014. This visit is the second one where Bianca has spent time with Maddie.  As Barbie and I expected, Maddie remembered Bianca as soon as they saw each other.  Maddie would snuggle with Bianca every time they were both on the couch. The picture below was taken as Barbie, Bianca and the dogs were walking back home from the lake.  You can see how trusting Maddie is of Bianca in how she is being carried.   . We have had some unseasonably warm weather lately which has been tempting us to de-winterize the pond.  The challenge for us is that if we get the pond ready for warm weather, and the temperatures drop back below freezing we could damage some of the equipment or koi. Saturday, June 29, 2013. Red, White and Bram. After his climbing victory, we took Jorge to see a movie.  This was a big deal for him since he is 12 years-old and we were going to see a PG-13 movie (White House Down). Friday, March 28, 2014. Our quick drive through our favorite monuments of the National Capital area concluded with a stop at the US Marine Corps Memorial (also commonly referred to as the Iwo Jima Memorial).  The simple size of this statue cast against the National mall in the background as you look at it make this one of my favorite scenes in the area.
