The undertone of solitude

The undertone of solitude. Musings, ramblings and readings. Wednesday, August 22, 2007. A little from Stoppard. After that module, I did manage to read Invention of Love by Stoppard, which is quite different from the pure comedy in On the Razzle. It's quite a inter-textual play that ask quite a few interesting questions. Recently I manage to pick up a book on Tom Stoppard, and came across this section extracted from Coast of Utopia, one of his more serious plays:. Posted by LG at 12:55 AM. That seeks to ...

The undertone of solitude: 08/01/2004 - 09/01/2004

The undertone of solitude. Musings, ramblings and readings. Tuesday, August 31, 2004. Still feeling time being grinded out by work and everything and anything. I guess everyone has a notion or definition of what literature should or could be, but I would put it as something that goes from objective to subjective as you delve and immerse in it. So much depends on you relating to what you read and using imagination of the mind to recapture that moment of inner most thought by the author. The secret of life.

The undertone of solitude: Prelude.

http://staringintooblivion.blogspot.com/2005/04/prelude.html

The undertone of solitude. Musings, ramblings and readings. Saturday, April 23, 2005. Believe in yourself for this while, for total skeptism gets you nowhere, except to turn your own mind upon yourself. Much thoughts that have been ceaseless, now subside. But the intensity remains i guess, why i really don't now. Is it really to reach out somehow to the world? I have no answers except to say that the world incredibly shrinks to something at times, and it isn't exams. Sadly? Posted by LG at 7:56 AM.

The undertone of solitude. Musings, ramblings and readings. Tuesday, August 02, 2005. Why is a rain tree called a rain tree? Because it has a top shaped like an umbrella and since calling it an umbrella tree isn’t very nice, you call it a rain tree. It is time to sort out the thoughts. Hopefully reading and writing can be done in these few days. For however much that matters. Posted by LG at 1:37 AM. Starting all over again. - Jamais Vu. The race in darkness. The undertone of solitude. Musings, ramblings and readings. Saturday, May 15, 2004. Following up on photography. But anyway, this is a poem i like a lot. Memories and photographs of course. since i am it. For an Album (by Adrienne Rich). Our story isn't a file of photographs. Faces laughing under green leaves. Or snowlit doorways, on the verge of driving. Away, our story is not about women. Victoriously perched on the one. Sunny day of the conference,. Nor lovers displaying love:. Our story is of moments.

Lord, what should be my bearing. Lord, teach me Your will is set. Your time is perfect. Help me take heart and pray. Sing Your praise through all my days. Your hand that hides my understanding. I have not yet accomplished what I feel I have been put here to do, but I am still trusting His grace to make a way. My aunt went to bed early right before I'd put down the phone, but I have peace about this. He will make a way for more time with my aunt and dearest grandma. Monday, July 31, 2006. I just want to remember this moment, where I think I've come to understand with more depth, (through my experiences in the last month,) how God is indeed everything to me, without substitute. Once again He's changed the way I understand His word. QT today was on 2nd Corinthians 1:1-11. What do you think of when you hear the word "comfort"? Paul is not talking here about an arm around a shoulder and the offer of a box of tissues! Oh, let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

Tuesday, August 29, 2006. At the foot of the cross. Mark 14:32-42 (New International Version - UK). They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, Sit here while I pray. 33. He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. 34. My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death, he said to them. Stay here and keep watch. Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him.
