We have many volunteers that come in the shelter to walk the dogs, spend time one on one with the cats, bathe puppies, or simply give the animals in the shelter extra love and attention. Some of these volunteers come in for an hour, others spend all day; what extra time they have they give to the pets of the Stark County Humane Society. During 2014, educational programs were presented at a number of schools including:. Alliance After School Program. As many of us know, animals offer companionship, comfort and much joy. For nursing home residents and others with special needs, our pet therapy program provides the opportunity to enjoy friendly visits on a regular basis with a shelter volunteer or staff member and a puppy or kitten. To find out how you can adopt a Featured Pet or any of the other wonderful dogs and cats at the Stark County Humane Society please visit our shelter at 5100 Peach Street, Louisville, Ohio. Our shelter adoption hours: Monday through Friday 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The shelter is closed on holidays. Click here to view dogs currently up for adoption.
