The Monthly Blog Challenge. Bead, Book and Bounce. Saturday, 16 April 2011. This weeks tutorial is for this super simple but pretty Swarovski Ring and cord bracelet. I've had the ring for a couple of years and really wanted to bust it out of my stash as it's far too lovely to languish in a box unused. Materials required: 1 x Swarovski Crystal Ring, 2 x 8 inches (or length to fit your wrist) 2mm wide faux suede cord, 4 x cords ends (to fit 2mm), 2 x open jump rings, 1 x toggle clasp. 16 April 2011 at 12:44.

The Monthly Blog Challenge. Bead, Book and Bounce. Saturday, 23 April 2011. Basic Stitch Tutorial - Spiral Rope. Another of my favourites and a very popular stitch among beaders is spiral rope. Also known as spiral rope chain, spiral staircase or spiral stitch, it is very versatile and you can make it as simple or as embellished as you like. For this tutorial I'm making a very simple rope using size 11 seed beads with 3 outer beads over 4 core beads. Here are a few finished ropes in various colours.

Operation Tackle That Bead Stash!: Basic Stitch Tutorial - Ladder Stitch
http://tacklethatbeadstash.blogspot.com/2011/05/basic-stitch-tutorial-ladder-stitch.html
The Monthly Blog Challenge. Bead, Book and Bounce. Saturday, 21 May 2011. Basic Stitch Tutorial - Ladder Stitch. Today's basic stitch tutorial is ladder stitch, which is a very useful technique to learn. Incredibly easy to do, it often forms the basis for many other stitches, including herringbone and brick stitch. Pick up 4 seed beads, slide them down to the stop bead and sew through the first 2 seed beads in the same direction. Pick up 2 more seed beads and sew down through the adjacent pair of beads.

Operation Tackle That Bead Stash!: Basic Stitch Tutorial - Herringbone Stitch
http://tacklethatbeadstash.blogspot.com/2011/05/basic-stitch-tutorial-herringbone.html
The Monthly Blog Challenge. Bead, Book and Bounce. Saturday, 28 May 2011. Basic Stitch Tutorial - Herringbone Stitch. First of all you need your ladder stitch base. Which for the purposes of this tutorial should be an even number of columns. I'm starting with a base of 8 columns, 2 beads high. You can start from a single row of beads but the double row is much easier to hold on to when you begin stitching. Then sew back up through the next bead. Sew up through the adjacent bead. When you've finished your...
