The Lough Life: Random Food
http://loughlife.blogspot.com/2013/03/random-food.html
Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Since the New Year my life has taken a turn not just for the better but for the much, much better. You'll have to see the next post to understand what I am talking about. What is going on is 2 people who love to play in the kitchen having fun. Deviled eggs the new man made, yummy. Broiled salmon with a honey mustard-maple syrup glaze, roasted green beans and yellow rice. Pork fried rice. What a great way to use leftover pork and veggies. No wonder I have put on a few pounds.

The Lough Life: A New Volume
http://loughlife.blogspot.com/2013/03/a-new-volume.html
Tuesday, March 19, 2013. When some people start something new in their life, they say they have started a new chapter. Well, not me, nope, I am starting a whole new volume that will hopefully have many, many chapters to to it. I did not take any pictures of Friday of us, our awesome meal or anything. Just a bit tired after working and then driving about 5 1/2 hours. Mike was enjoying the warmer temps and sunshine as we walked around the square. Saturday for dinner we decided to go back to Capozzi's where...

Friday, January 11, 2013. I Don't Need No Stinkin' Man! Before I go any further on this post I wanted to share a photo of my girls. Kele has now figured out why Lili likes to sleep on the sofa all the time. Well the time came for me to get the Christmas tree out of the house. I called a friend, I sent him a text, I left him a voice mail. When I got tired of waiting to hear from him I took matters into my own hands. Here it is 11:21 and the tree, all 8 feet of it, is ready to go outside. Here is William p...

The Lough Life: Chapter 1, We Get to Know Each Other
http://loughlife.blogspot.com/2013/04/cahpter-1-we-get-to-know-each-other.html
Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Chapter 1, We Get to Know Each Other. This post is a prequel to Volume 2 of our heroine's life. Back in October of last year she spent a few days, ,not many mind you, thinking about what she had been through with the last man in her life and decided that she was too damn good of a woman to be alone and there had to be someone out there that was just right for her. Our heroine got a "Like" for one of her photos. Woofie4U2 was interested. Our heroine looked at his photo and...The m...

The Lough Life: September 2012
http://loughlife.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 16, 2012. It is Sunday in the mountains. The weather is overcast and there is rain in the forecast. The football games that our heroine can get on her cable TV suck. To help calm her boredom she runs on her treadmill, finds an Indian Jones movie on TV and heads into the kitchen. She starts out by making a pumpkin roll for the office. She makes the cake and sets it to cool while she gets the filling ready. In no time at all she has the pumpkin roll ready to go into the refrigerator.

The Lough Life: June 2012

Monday, June 11, 2012. I'm Making Progress,. I have been working diligently to get all the wood split into firewood pieces so I can move on to easier stuff. By Saturday lunchtime I had finished the pile of wood behind the woodshed and Jared had stacked it all for me. Even the woodshed is now full. After lunch I headed out to start on the pile in the driveway near the garage,. By the time I quit I had made some great progress. With some help from the boys I can get this knocked off pretty quickly.

Sunday, December 6, 2009. We have been absent from the net as of late because we have been without it completely. It was simply not available. Can you remember a time when the net was not there and we actually put letters in envelopes and trusted our government to deliver them for us? The last and most problematic issue we had to deal with was the bugs. We saw some amazing plant life in the river. The morichee palms and mango trees lined the river as did all manner of vine and bush which produced orc...

Sunday, November 28, 2010. Well it's been a long and eventful summer. Not much to do with cruising unfortunately but were back now. We arrived back in Curacao to find the boat in great condition. After the formalities were finished we anchored at the end of the runway in Oranjestad. Once our hook was down our work paid off. A guy came up to the boat and yelled, “Hello Seattle”! Nice He was from Portland, OR and before you know it we were invited to Thanksgiving dinner the next day with all the trimmings.

Sunday, February 14, 2010. Carnival here in Bonaire is a very different animal than what we have seen before. It is a very family oriented event compared to the last couple we have attended. No really loud sound trucks with skads of loosley clothed ladies hanging out of every opening. No chest pounding Soca. No whining or stab dancing either. It kind of reminds me of a local town parade and that is what this place is anyway. Bonaire the island consists of about 15,000 locals and about 10,000 tourists.
