A little about life and art. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. The creative and organized artist and swap hostess, creativelenna. Has completed another successful swap. The theme for this swap was, "A Summer's Day." These three postcards arrived safely in my mailbox yesterday and what a lucky girl I am to have them! As always, please click on each image if you want a larger view ;-0. Being a beach girl myself, the carefully constructed beach scene is perfect for me! Barbara in Illinois crafted a three-dimensi...

arts-4-all: August 2011
http://arts-4-all.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
A little about life and art. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. A true art journal page - photographed both with and without the flash What a different it makes, n'est ce pas? Begun with a 6" x 9" sheet of watercolor paper washed with several shades of blue, green and a bit of purple. I make these background papers for fun just to see how the colors will blend. Sometimes I add salt while the paint is still wet, or use my fingertips to flick some plain rubbing alcohol onto the wet color washed paper. Who seem to...

Grandkids are always high on my list, and we had a Nana afternoon and evening - made some cookies. Anyway, I'm ready for the end/beginning of a year. Our arbitrary beginni...

A little about life and art. Saturday, November 5, 2011. Not blogging very often, but still sewing up my stash ;-0 The pleasure of scrap quilts has taken over my life (when I'm not out working in my new yard, that is.) I'm discovering a creative outlet I never dreamed existed in my previous world of more predictable pre-planned quilts! I found the idea and pattern in her book, Cotton Candy Quilts. Please click for larger view. Please click on image to get a closer look. November 5, 2011 at 4:55 PM. Havin...

http://arts-4-all.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
A little about life and art. Monday, October 6, 2014. This time, the post appeared, so I guess I'm blogging again for at least a little while. Sometimes I have "issues" with the level of ego involved both in writing and reading blogs. I'm a low-profile kind of person and blogging seems pretty self-congratulatory to me most of the time. Does anyone really care what my craft table looks like? Find her at "Mail Me some Art" http:/ mailmesomeart.blogspot.com/. Its a gorgeous autumn day here - lots of sunshin...

A little about life and art. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Are all in the perception. Day 4 seems not so special, but I do like the journaling and the torn pages which are shaded with chalk. Day 5 feels better - more effort went into the creation of these two pages and they are purple. What's not to love about purple? Sunday, November 28, 2010. Altered Book Day 3. A little about life and art. Thursday, May 19, 2011. Home again, home again. This blog hasn't been high on my list of priorities lately. Some of you know that I've recently bought a small condominium instead of continuing to rent an apartment, and others of you know that I recently took a two week trip to the UK. Between traveling, packing. planning, keeping up a bit with a few small art projects and doing some kidsitting with my grandchildren, there just hasn't been time to post. Leaving on a jet plane.
