I was in my mom's house the other day and I happened to look at a shelf that she has over her dining table. It was different than I had seen before. There used to be knick-knacks on it. Oh, sure! Monday, June 22, 2015. Leap Frog is ingenious for developing their Letter Factory movies! Laynie does not care for them, however! I don't want her to lose her skills this summer so for the past few weeks "Tucker has to learn his letters" each night before bed! It's worked like a charm so far and tonight she even reminded me that he had to learn his letters when I announced it was bedtime! Looks like Daddy and the Peter Rabbit crew joined the party tonight! I am remembering the line at the end of all fairy tales.and they lived happily ever after. As I get sucked into a fairy tale, the ups and downs, the scary and funny parts.the line at the end seems to be just what I want to hear. Isn't it what we all want to hear? The reality is.the end of the fairy tale is only the beginning of life! They don't go away. But it's hard nonetheless.

I have never attended a reunion. I only keep in (light) touch with one high school friend. I have many not good memories of those days. Awkward would be the word to describe the whole endeavor from sophomore year on. (LOVED freshman year! Sowhy are these memories and feelings coming back up again?

And today was one of those days.just for a few minutes. Then there was the time that a friend of one of my children confided in that child that he was considering suicide. My child came to me to ask for help and I had to make the call to the other one's parent. Talk about a difficult conversation to have! Funny,so-so,so true.

Once again, I cried. 16 years ago, Ben and I began raising support to become missionaries with Cru. It was a humbling and miraculous experience. Humbling to ask.
