Day at the beach. Races down the sand dunes are great fun! Walking back up again .not too bad if you are 8! Have you ever seen a dog with such a big grin! Charlie the retriever wanting his tummy tickled. What goes up must come down. Zach in his new cricket gear before the backyard cricket game commenced.

A Windy Winters afternoon. Back again at Te Arai Point. Tree felling at Beach Road. Monday, July 13, 2009. A Windy Winter's afternoon. The family were all up staying over this weekend. Unfortunately by the time they arrived so had an eastern storm. In a break in the rain we went down to the beach and climbed the sand dunes. The two dogs loved it. The fact that sand was blowing everywhere did not deter them. Matt loved it, Zach wasn't so keen! Friday, July 10, 2009. Back again at Te Arai Point.

Next stop Washington State. Cwt lunch at Lindas home in Los Angeles. Sunday, September 14, 2008. Next stop Washington State. Flew up to Portland from Ontario airport and met another "chat" friend there, Cindy and her husband. They drove me up to their. Home in WA. I had the chance to go to their church on the Sunday and loved being there with them. The message was about how Elisha saw Elijah transported to heaven and how the mantle of the old prophet passed to him. I bet they volunteer for that patrol!

Day at the beach. Thursday, April 08, 2010. Zach in his new cricket gear before the backyard cricket game commenced. The boys busy in the kitchen. Matt is making chocolate brownies with Auntie Jo because the first batch disappeared too quickly! At the other end of the bench is the creative guy making up his own batch of ginger beer! Grandpa has indoctrinated the boys into bird lore. They both want to have budgies and here is Zach painting the cage after mixing up his own favorite "camouflage" colour.

Relaxing in the morning sun. Friday, October 30, 2009. Beautiful morning today. I was up bright and early ready to wash and clean and do what was necessary around the home. No power! That meant no water, no cooking, no washing and NO INTERNET! The reason didn't become clear till later when the cause for the blackout became known here. Lunar New year dinner at church. Dawn today at Waiake. Nooree and James wedding. Garden Party for Gordon. Sunday, February 22, 2009. Went up to Mangawhai Heads today to see how the house was coming on. We were delighted with the progress. Painting is done, kitchen units in, bathrooms started, so exciting! We met our neighbours too who invited us over for coffee. The view from their deck was amazing and we realised .YES! We share the same view! Lunar New year dinner at church.
