Staying Awake Through the Night

Sunday, December 27, 2009. Wednesday, December 23, 2009. New Adventures at Christmas Time. Every year at Christmas time I generally spend a lot of time indoors playing card games or going to the movies and doing things like that. Of course turkey and other holiday goodies have their place but what would it be like to have Christmas in a completely different way. What if you went swimming around instead of staying inside? What if you got a sunburn because you stayed outside way too long? By the way she is...

Staying Awake Through the Night: 16. The Joy that Keeps on Giving

http://www.stayingawakeatnight.blogspot.com/2009/12/joy-that-keeps-on-giving.html

Thursday, December 3, 2009. 16 The Joy that Keeps on Giving. I guess the most classic form of literature that I find in the market is the third person narrative. That is the narrator witnesses everything and doesn't get personally involved. By that i mean he doesn't ever see directly through the eyes of the characters. He just seems to watch them from above. This can be seen in "Ender's Game," " The Hobbit," "The Eyes of the Dragon," and many other books. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Staying Awake Through the Night: November 2009

http://www.stayingawakeatnight.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 24, 2009. 13 What Happens Now? Agent Sharpe peered down the dark corridor. He could barely see anything in the flickering light that only revealed glimpses of what was to come. Step by step he crept into the darkness. He had to find her before anything bad happened to her. She was at the end of this hallway. He just knew it. She was everything. He could never forgive himself if anything happened to her. What if she thought it was too soon? What are you trying to say? I reached into my p...

Staying Awake Through the Night: 14. Speechless

http://www.stayingawakeatnight.blogspot.com/2009/12/speechless.html

Wednesday, December 2, 2009. OK I don't know if any of you ever feel like this but whenever I'm trying to impress someone I feel like I never say the right thing. I feel like I just screw everything up and say everything wrong. For example I can ramble on all day about books I've read and about the different things I am interested in studying but when it comes down to deeply personal things I choke. I think. Staying Awake Through the Night: 15. The Best of Thanksgiving Times Two

http://www.stayingawakeatnight.blogspot.com/2009/12/best-of-thanksagiving-times-two.html

Thursday, December 3, 2009. 15 The Best of Thanksgiving Times Two. Maybe that is why I love chick flicks so much. They all have something I can relate to in my life. Romance. Not to burst the bubble on all the guys who like action movies but when was the last time you found yourself surrounded by an armada of mercenary soldiers bent on world destruction but trying to kill you first? Life's a Beach!: December 2009

http://sherylsmith.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Random thoughts from people our age. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option. Have you ever been walking down the street and realized that you're going in the complete opposite direction of where you are supposed to be going? I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger. Is it just me, or are 80% of the people in the "people you may know" feature on Facebook people that I do know, but I deliberately choose not to be friends with?

Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Julie and Julia. and Sheryl? I enjoy to cook. I do fairly well at it, cooking, baking, I really enjoy being creative with food and like to experiment with new recipes and combinations of foods and really like adding various spices to my creations. As we speak I'm working on my second attempt. so far so god but I'm only 10 minutes in. The problem with my inability to make rice is that it is a staple in quite a few food items so I really need to overcome this. I was never an Engl...

Staying At Home Forever

Wednesday, July 16, 2008. Long time no blog. I know it's been a while. It seems that it is so much easier to get online and read my friends blogs and then get off. So much easier than updating mine. Geez, you'd think that with three kids and husband I'd have more to write about. Oh, and more time on my hands! Well, I do have lots to write about but with my "psycho" self it just doesn't work that way. So, for a quick update and another promise of keeping this darn thing on my daily to do list. I know, it ...

Why anxiety, fear control aren’t allowed anymore. May 21, 2015. I don’t know about you, but I have spent a good chunk of my life scared and anxious. Will people accept me? Will I be understood? Will I have enough (money, food, time, resource, capacity, maturity… fill in the blank)? Will my kids make it? Will my marriage make it? How will (insert any given situation in which I am not totally in control–which is pretty much never) work out? What do I do with my dreams? What do I do with the power I do have?
