Thursday, September 20, 2012. I meant to get here. With the kids all summer. We finally made it a couple of weeks before school started. We picked up Culver's on the way. Then we ate and played at the playground, checked out the nature center, and really, really burned off our lunch by hiking to the waterfall! Friday, September 14, 2012. The Fleeting Beauty Of Summer. It consisted of an incredible body wrap, some delicious meals out and relaxing with a couple of good friends at my awesome sister in law's home. Wednesday, October 16, 2013. She was so exuberant this year that I deleted all but these three photos. The smiles were sooooo fake and the poses were downright hilarious. Friday, January 4, 2013. Our break seemed to fly by this year! Since Craig is working second shift we didn't get to Mom's until Saturday afternoon. So excited to get a flute (recorder) at long last! Mom finally got some sharp knives! Now she just needs a bigger cutting board and more counter space. Oh and a dishwasher would be OK too. Our trip was short, but busy. A few of us made it to the theater to see The Hobbit and we also fit in a nice meal with Dad at a super delish Japanese Steak House.

Wednesday, December 4, 2013. I had a birthday and turned.not 40 yet! I was surprised to receive 2 Cafe Latte cheesecakes and a few visitors throughout the day and evening. We took a hockey player, Alice from Wonderland and a cute little lady bug out begging for candy. Our nephew Chad made it to state in cross country and ran in spite of his injured leg. We were glad to cheer him on, but hated to see him in pain! It was a great weekend and I guess I was enjoying myself too much to take photos of it!

Wednesday, December 12, 2012. The day after the kids' holiday concert at school Mom, Kaia and I were going to help Ayla's class decorate gingerbread houses.
