Lina Jamison: Welcome, winter, in November!
http://linajamison.blogspot.com/2014/11/welcome-winter-in-november.html
Art : photography : poetry : essays. Sunday, November 09, 2014. Welcome, winter, in November! Winter should always be welcome in Canada, the neighbour of the Arctic. I don't have complaints as long as the house and the car are heated, my snow tires are working, and my car battery doesn't die on me again. Yikes! Should I say I don't have any complaints? Please come for tea time at this icy table. I can also serve hot chocolate with marshmallows. I love wintry days! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Lina Jamison: Scoop me up and out of the pond
http://linajamison.blogspot.com/2014/06/scoop-me-up-and-out-of-pond.html
Art : photography : poetry : essays. Saturday, June 21, 2014. Scoop me up and out of the pond. In the Butterfly House today, amateur and professional photographers gather with paparazzi-like huge lenses and flashes. By the pond with water lilies and lotuses, their shutters click and flashes flash non-stop. I look at the dark pond but can’t see their subject. When they disperse, I come closer. “Look, Mom, there’s one in the water! 8221; says a child. “Oh, my! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). But if you...

Art : photography : poetry : essays. Saturday, February 01, 2014. A bit of Vancouver. 8220;Beautiful British Columbia” – who’s to disagree? A stroll several blocks from the Residence, before and after the sessions, was my only exercise. I did include UBC museums in my itinerary, but there was not enough time to go elsewhere at the end of each day. Now I have another reason to go back, eh? That’s where I’d be (with my ice cream sandwich) in summer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There must be more to...

Lina Jamison: ENMAX CONSERVATORY
http://linajamison.blogspot.com/2014/04/enmax-conservatory.html
Art : photography : poetry : essays. Monday, April 21, 2014. The children and their parents gathered at booths for face painting, freebies, stickers, stamps, etc. while I proceeded to the Conservatory, which houses a butterfly garden and a tropical garden. As always, my cold lens got foggy once I got into the warm garden so I walked around before taking pictures, all the while listening to the children yell, “There’s a chocolate tree! Hope to visit Calgary zoo someday! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
