Unlike other countries that drive on the left, the steering wheel stays on the left here so it's like being a postman everyday. Rules are reversed so you go left on red here. Sunday, October 3, 2010. So we had a close brush with Hurricane Earl who decided to drop between 12" - 16" and give us winds over 50mph. Below are some pictures of during and after the storm. Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Life on St. Croix. After being here 2 weeks we're finally getting around to making our first post! Things seem to slow down on the island.including the ability to get things accomplished in a timely fashion. Unfortunately we seem to be taking to the kicked back island life style just a little too well. When you're surrounded by ocean views and sea breezes it's hard not to. September 24, 2010 at 9:05 AM.
