Me Food, the unholy alliance. Friday, 25 May 2012. Sloppy Joe Burger, Wenlock and Essex. A word of advice: don't get the burger at Wenlock and Essex. This is not to say that it isn't good - in fact, as you'll soon read, it's much better than good - but there are many other great options on the menu. The burger is by far their best seller though, much to the disappointment of the lovely pork fillets, the fish and chips, and the wild salmon. Back in the old country, I grew up eating many a sloppy joe.
