And is there any hope of saving her marriage? Kathryn - 3.5 Star. I also liked that the authors gave a voice to both stay at home parents and working parents, gave us an idea of ...

Friday, April 29, 2011. What If I Don't Like Her? We spend a lot of time, in love stories, focusing on the hero. Is he cute enough? Etc, etc., etc. It makes sense, because most of us - whether single or married, content or yearning for something more - want to put ourselves in the shoes of the lead female character, and live vicariously through her. But what about the heroine herself? Don't we have to like her too? The hardest part of writing a story geared toward a female audience. Anything that complet...

Impaired Driving – Our Story. December 14, 2012. I came across Krista’s story via MADD Canada’s Facebook news feed. I watched the video and was deeply touched and moved by her story. Krista talked briefly about the added impact she felt in losing her boyfriend Jesse to an impaired driver. She had to deal with running into the impaired driver in her everyday life. Imagine having to come face to face with the person that killed your loved one at the grocery store? I’d love to hear your thoughts? For the mo...

Impaired Driving – Our Story. When are lifetime driving bans appropriate? December 7, 2012. She died in her husband’s arms by the side of the road. That the judge heeded the Crown’s suggestion ( somewhat. And sentenced the man to six years in prison and did indeed ban the man from driving for life. One of the saddest...

Impaired Driving – Our Story. Impaired Driving – Our Story. A brutal before and after. On August 1, 2009, my mother-in-law (. The beautiful Donna Kennie who I lovingly called Mamma K. Was gunned down. I say gunned down because it feels like she was brutally murdered by a gun-wielding psychopath. Instead, it was a seemingly harmless driver who had one too many drinks and smoked some weed. Someone who likely thought he was fine to drive but clearly wasn’t when he cut sharply into the other lane. Of pleadin...

Rene D. Schultz. Sunday, 30 August 2015. The Word Game by Steena Holmes PRE ORDER NOW. My rating: 5 of 5 stars. I am such a fan of Steena Holmes book when she writes genres such as this. I know she veers to chic lit/romance on occasion but for me, she is at her best and I get to RAVE about it here and on all social networks. This book is no exception. What would you do if you suspected that a child was being abused? What about, if you had been abused as a child and people may think its your paranoia?
