Bluestocking Revolution: September 2011
http://witlesswitticisms.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Because reading is sexy, dammit! Saturday, September 24, 2011. I have been neglectful. I am sorry. Well. kind of. I had a lot going on. For example, I neglected to mention that my birthday was earlier this month. I didn't really do anything exciting. I did, however, have a job interview. AND I GOT THE JOB. Now that's birthday luck. But I'm working in publishing, so all my work involves books. BOOKS, people. My one, true love. Links to this post. Monday, September 12, 2011. I actually started reading it b...

Bluestocking Revolution: June 2011
http://witlesswitticisms.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Because reading is sexy, dammit! Wednesday, June 29, 2011. So this isn't necessarily book-related. Well, actually, it isn't at all book-related, but it is life-bettering related, and that's all that matters. Almost done with The Amazing Adventure of Kavalier and Clay. Then I'll probably move on to The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. I have a ton of library books right now, so I need to read faster. Links to this post. Saturday, June 18, 2011. During the drive, I managed to finish reading The Bell Jar.

Bluestocking Revolution: The Free World
http://witlesswitticisms.blogspot.com/2012/04/free-world.html
Because reading is sexy, dammit! Friday, April 13, 2012. David Bezmozgis' The Free World. Was an intriguing and, at times, heartbreaking tale of the three generations of the Krasnansky. Family as they made their way from Soviet-controlled Latvia to "the Free World.". On the other hand, there's Karl. With most of the adult characters there was a certain amount of understanding after a while, but I feel like we never reach that point with Karl. He remains a mystery and almost feels like a villain b...There...

Bluestocking Revolution: April 2011
http://witlesswitticisms.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Because reading is sexy, dammit! Thursday, April 7, 2011. So there's this man named Dylan Moran. And he's a comedian. And he's in this show called Black Books. My friend may have introduced me to Dylan Moran and Black Books. Now I do nothing but watch his stand-up and episodes of Black Books. And it's ALL HER FAULT. You must waste inordinate amounts of time with me. I do Do you want to do that in the same room sometime? That is quite possible the best pickup line ever. Just saying. Links to this post.

http://witlesswitticisms.blogspot.com/2012/05/few-weeks-ago-i-read-ransom-by-david.html
Because reading is sexy, dammit! Thursday, May 17, 2012. A few weeks ago I read Ransom. By David Malouf. Ransom. Is a retelling of the part of the Trojan war during which Priam travels to the Greek camp to ransom Hector's body. And you know how I love a retelling. For when kids read it for the first time in school. The characterization of both Achilles and Priam, as well as some of the other smaller characters, is incredibly developed. The Iliad. Bluestocking Revolution: Reviews a few weeks late
http://witlesswitticisms.blogspot.com/2012/05/reviews-few-weeks-late.html
Because reading is sexy, dammit! Sunday, May 6, 2012. Reviews a few weeks late. First up: Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir. So Much. Love. I managed to ration out my reading of this book so that I didn't finish it too. Quickly (and also so that I made sure I ate and slept). Since this has thus far been less of a review and more of an open love letter to the author, I think it's probably clear that I liked the book. It was interesting enough, but not a particularly inspiring read...

Bluestocking Revolution: January 2012
http://witlesswitticisms.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Because reading is sexy, dammit! Monday, January 23, 2012. Every so often I get a reminder of why I love Dickens. They work; but don't you think they overdo it? They work so much more than they need — they make so much more than they can eat — they are so incessantly boring and buzzing at their one idea till Death comes upon them — that don't you think they overdo it? And are human labourers to have no holidays, because of the bees? And am I never to have change of air, because the bees don't? OK, it's b...

Bluestocking Revolution: April 2012
http://witlesswitticisms.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Because reading is sexy, dammit! Friday, April 20, 2012. I got a package today. My copy of Let's Pretend this Never Happened (A Mostly True Memoir). By Jenny Lawson arrived today. There may have been happy dancing involved. I have, as is to be expected, many library books that I need to finish, but they may all get shoved on to the back burner so I can read this. Seriously. Very excited. Links to this post. Friday, April 13, 2012. I should have mentioned this sooner, but it slipped my mind. Oops. Kaysen ...
