The Red Fox: A Close Call
http://jakeklim.blogspot.com/2015/02/a-close-call.html
The Musings and Tall Tales of J.A. Klim. Sunday, February 22, 2015. Last weekend got away from me, and I forgot to post, but that doesn't mean there hasn't been a lot of drama in the world of the Red Fox as you will read below. On Monday, 2/9, I got in an easy 7 before a host of contractors invaded Fox Hall to start work on my bathroom. I had to quickly jump in the shower and then get out of their way. On Thursday, I explored the trails below the. I only got in 40 miles for the week. On Thursday, I ran 1...

The Red Fox: Windy Workout: 3 x 2-mile on Hains Point (and the week)
http://jakeklim.blogspot.com/2015/03/windy-workout-3-x-2-mile-on-hains-point.html
The Musings and Tall Tales of J.A. Klim. Sunday, March 29, 2015. Windy Workout: 3 x 2-mile on Hains Point (and the week). My hamstring was bothering me a little on Sunday afternoon. Although it felt much better on Monday afternoon, the pain was still "there". Plus, I was going to run again on Tuesday morning so there was no need to try and grind through a run just to get in the miles at the expense of tweaking my hammy again, so I decided to play it safe and I took the day off. The Red Fox: Shift in Strategy
http://jakeklim.blogspot.com/2015/03/shift-in-strategy.html
The Musings and Tall Tales of J.A. Klim. Sunday, March 1, 2015. I'm losing the war. But, it's not too late to shift my strategy. Mill, but I was pleasantly surprised that on Tuesday I ran without any pain, as I'm typically feeling achy after a treadmill run. But soon found myself pushing every uphill I could find - short, long, whatever. For the next 6 miles I tempoed up and down hills, tip-toeing around black ice and left-over snow,. Running nearly every road in the neighborhood. It was time to go home.

The Red Fox: Walloped
http://jakeklim.blogspot.com/2015/04/walloped.html
The Musings and Tall Tales of J.A. Klim. Monday, April 13, 2015. PHOTO - Yuchen Nie. A few days ago, I received a text message from Bert Rodriguez, my once arch nemesis in all things life, but especially in running (in the DC-area). He asked if I was ready for Cherry Blossom. It was a simple question, which normally would have required a straightforward answer, but his inquiry made me think -. Will the stars align? Will you be tough enough to run through the pain? My goal going into Cherry Blossom was to...

The Red Fox: TRIP REPORT - Part II: Evening of the Grizzlies…
http://jakeklim.blogspot.com/2015/07/trip-report-part-ii-evening-of-grizzlies.html
The Musings and Tall Tales of J.A. Klim. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. TRIP REPORT - Part II: Evening of the Grizzlies…. Then we sauntered back to our campsite and brewed up some dinner. I sauntered through some of the other unused campsites and scavenged up some discarded firewood then proceeded to build the only fire of the trip. After sucking down more than my fair share of Good Medicine Imperial Red Ale (which, by the way, was ice cold), I promptly fell asleep. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 1M - 4:20...
