Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Monday April 19, 2010 3:40am. My phone rings and I struggle to find it. Even on "vibrate" mode, it still makes a distinct noise. I squint through the darkness in my sisters room and check the time on her iHome, and know at this hour. it cannot be good news. But news that I cannot miss. Dancing on the line of being drunk and slipping into my hangover, I slide to answer my call and mumble out the best "Hello" I can so my mother won't know I'd been drinking. Wha what's going on?

Wednesday, August 11, 2010. I was kinda confused as to why or how she even know Alex was a member of the Armed Forces, then I remembered he still had the decal on his car. We thanked her, and she went on her way. Even though Alex is out (officially on August 13, 2010). This isn't the first time that I have been thanked or acknowledged for being the wife of a Marine, or troop. When my husband was promoted, his shop (co-workers). Everytime this has happened, I never fully understood why until recently.

Tuesday, February 02, 2010. Monday, February 01, 2010. Today, I was overwhelmed with pride as I watched my husband be promoted to the rank of Sergeant serving in the United States Marine Corps. A big reason why I am so proud is because I know that one of his goals as Marine was to get out as a Sergeant. I got to pin on his new chevrons, which up until a few weeks ago, I didn't know was kind of a big deal. So, while this blog may not be of much substance to you, it's kind of a big deal to me!
