At least that's what a lot of Shih Tzu owners say, and it certainly was the case for me. Kop was a delight in every way. He quickly became my best friend during times that weren't the best. Stella, the Diva's Blog. A story of how a dream of raising beautiful Shih Tzu turned into a nightmare. Friday, July 24, 2009. Throughout her life, Missy had many health problems. She never let any of those put a damper on her joy for life, though. When I'd gotten her, a vet told me that a Shih Tzu is a puppy for all of its life, and that certainly was true for Missy. But of course, she grew old. Despite her health problems, she lived to be a few days short of 18 years old. We get our new pup!
