So much for the peace of Thanksgiving when I got home my apartment flooded, my car tire blew out on the freeway and the electricity kept going out. One day the electricity went out on the whole island for a day and a half! It was a great experience for me to realize how emergency UNprepared I am! Monday, January 5, 2009. It was so awesome. Sunday, December 19, 2010. Our minds keep us safe. Then comes my mind to the rescue. pushing away those thoughts and feelings to keep me sane. Is it a blessing or a curse? I don't know yet. Some days it's a relief not to be burdened by the sadness. Some days I wonder, though, if it's really beneficial. I will have to go through all that pain at some point, am I just prolonging it?
