Monday, November 17, 2014. The cold snaps seemed to start early this season. All this cold weather calls for warm sleep sacks and soup for dinner. I particularly love this tomato soup because it has Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream. I was skeptical at first, but you can't even tell the difference! This soup is already a favorite at our house and I know it will be in our regular dinner rotation through these cold winter months! Recipe adapted from Closet Cooking. 2 Tbsp. butter. 3 cups chicken broth.

Tuesday, October 28, 2014. This weekend we had a Beach House reunion in Auburn, and it was so fun. I always feel a little old when I go back to Auburn, but this year things felt REALLY different. Wearing a baby around campus was a new experience! It ended up being a long day (getting back to Birmingham at 2 in the morning), but we had such a great time! The beach with a one year old comes with a lot of gear and early mornings (at least for us), but we had such a great time! BEACH ESSENTIAL - Baby pool! Especially for a baby who doesn't like the sand. Her favorite activity seemed to be climbing in and out of the pool. Time in the sun can be exhausting. Thank goodness for snack time!
