Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Story of the Hour. What is the main idea? The main idea of the story is about a lady who is married and they tell her that her husband died in an accident. She was in the house when her sister tells her that her husband has possibly died. Was Ms. Mallard's grief real? No her grief wasn't real. Her sister thought she was griefing for her husband since she locked herself in the room but in reality she was with joy. Was Ms. Mallard happy? If not, why? EDUC 108 Instructional Blog.
