Flutter: August 2011
http://flutterclutter.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
A delightful disarray of found objects and clutter. Wednesday, August 24, 2011. I don't know if you have come by the shop in the past month, but it looks like the circus has arrived! Inside both of our huge front windows there are wooden games, acrobats, clowns, and even a full-size puppet theater with wiggling marionettes. The entire display was handcrafted and painted by local artist Stephanie Brockway. Looking for more circus merriment? How about a huge book on Magic. Wednesday, August 17, 2011. First...

Elizabeth Frank Artworks: April 2014

Friday, April 25, 2014. Interview in Art Doll Quarterly. This week I received the summer issue of Art Doll Quarterly. In it I'm interviewed by writer and artist Ricë Freeman -Zachary. Her thoughtful questions made the process an interesting journey. She even shares little tidbits about me such as my previous foray into chicken wrangling. Red Antlers by Harem 6. And a feature by talented woodcarver Stephanie Brockway. About the making of her fabulous "Toolheads". Toolheads" by Stephanie Brockway. I like t...

Family Photos Cute Kids. Sunday, April 14, 2013. SO HAPPY TO PART OF THIS SHOW. The conscious use of skill and creative imagination especially in the production of aesthetic objects. It all started with a phone call from Mary Lou Zeek. I had in mind a plan and went about collecting all the parts. I also made a phone call to my son Nick and ask if he could help with carpentry skills I do not possess. We began a very enjoyable collaboration. This happy little table looks like it could just take off dancing...

Copper Crow Studio: January 2015
http://coppercrowstudio.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Family Photos Cute Kids. Saturday, January 31, 2015. My friend Vay prompted me to post- thanks Vay. I just finished this fellow "he has always been such a cad." I'm doing a demo on sculpting clay faces Feb. 12th at The Art Studios at Mission Mill. 5:00pm till 7:00. The Cad was created for the demo.I did fall in love with him. She is the best for her age group, partially because of her ability to concentrate. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Where I will be teaching. April 11,12,13, 2014. May 2,3,4, 2014.

Copper Crow Studio: November 2012
http://coppercrowstudio.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Family Photos Cute Kids. Sunday, November 11, 2012. Fun with the "Story Tellers". So often the artist wants control of their medium and has an image in mind of what the end piece should look like. But if you can let go and except what can happen you will be pleasantly surprised to find the story about your art. In my case it's the small clay people I create. Miss Cumin wanted to be a birder but had so many questions. Her little eyebrows knit with worry. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Where I will be teaching.

Copper Crow Studio: October 2014
http://coppercrowstudio.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Family Photos Cute Kids. Thursday, October 16, 2014. Almost fire with a remaining spark. It didn't start out with the thought of imperfections and our view of how we feel about ourselves but when I was looking at the disfigured thigh and legs, the bumps on the abdomen I heard my studio mate Dayna's words "please don't throw her away" and thought that's what we do to ourselves mentally when we look at our own imperfections. I wanted to make a series of sculptures I could experiment different finishes on.
