Friday, March 20, 2009. Here she is, my little wonder girl. She was a delight in so many ways. You can just tell from her smile. :). These pictures are from my brother, John's, efforts to get every picture he has to electronic format. As I said in my last post, Carol has a picture viewer she got from him at Christmas and last weekend she let me have it to download the photos. When she laughed, everyone wanted to laugh with her. I choose to remember that. I love you, Stephanie. What a gorgeous girl.

As a Tucson native, I grew to appreciate the diverse cultures, unique faces, and the beauty of my southwestern surroundings. I found it intriguing that although people share similar features, no two faces look exactly alike. Each portrait I draw begins like an exciting new adventure. Every line, shadow and highlight produce a distinct feature; a unique facial expression. I enjoy the challenge of studying the fine detail of my subjects and then communicating them onto my paper.
