Anything good on?: In no particular order...
http://historyoftelevision.blogspot.com/2006/10/in-no-particular-order.html
Wednesday, October 04, 2006. In no particular order. The next couple who be back next week. In no particular order. You're still in the running. Joey Lawrence and Edyta Sliwinska. To be America's Next Top Model. The couple who will not be returning next week. Will immediately pack her bags. Vivica Fox and Nick Kosovich. This was a waste of time." (Monique). HOW IS A PERSON SUPPOSED TO WATCH TWO ELIMINATIONS AT THE EXACT SAME MOMENT? So cute how they're all bonding, though. I like this guy better than the...

Monday, February 27, 2006. The Bachelor picks (yawn) Sarah (yawn) is it over yet (yawn). Well, I'd say this has to be my least favorite season of The Bachelor of all time. I really felt the sadism of the show. How the women get so emotionally involved, and how manipulative the whole set up is, and how hurtful it is in the end. (Yes, we all know this going into it, but it seemed worse this time, or am I jaded? Doesn't he meet lots of Sarahs all the time? Which probably won't stop me from watching next tim...

Sunday, November 19, 2006. I am gearing up for:. The end of The Bachelor (I liked Lorenzo, but could they not put him opposite some women who were a little more mature? I'm guessing Jen gets the loan of the ring until her father chases Lorenzo off with his gun and Sadie rides of crying in the limo thankful her virginity is intact.). Getting hooked on Heroes after The Bachelor ends. Seeing whether the blondes or the models win Amazing Race. (I'm gunning for the first two-women team.). Are you a TV watcher?

Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Lisa Kudrow loves her book! Up this week on the GCC is Ellen Meister, author of SECRET CONFESSIONS OF THE APPLEWOOD PTA, which sounds like so much fun. It's about three women in a Long Island suburb whose friendship is tested when Hollywood comes to town to film a George Clooney movie. And totally exciting - she has a blurb from Lisa Kudrow. The best time I've had in years. Ellen Meister's characters are so funny, smart, and real, I feel like I've made three new friends! I hav...

Friday, October 21, 2005. I know this can be very subjective. And men tend to like male comics, who reflect their own problems back to them. And women tend to like female comics for the same reason. But does Penn Jillette know nothing about the history of television? Lucy was the original rebel housewife. She defied her immigrant husband and the conventions of her time over and over again. And women loved it. They identified. They laughed. And they’re still laughing. Posted by Stephanie @ 10:59 AM.

Sunday, December 10, 2006. It's Up to God Now. Or the taxi driver! That's a quote from one of the models - I never did learn to distinguish one from the other - as they finished up the last leg of The Amazing Race. And thanks to God, or the Taxi Driver, they won. Sort of a boring finish, but as the guys would say,. Posted by Stephanie @ 6:28 PM. Links to this post:. For more about me,. Please visit my website. Turn off that TV and pick up this witty, warm and irresistible novel.". Sarah Mlynowski, author.

http://historyoftelevision.blogspot.com/2006/10/and-winner-by-neck-is.html
Thursday, October 19, 2006. And the winner, by a neck, is. So the very unpleasant Jeffrey won Project Runway. I did like his collection the best (the artist can make beautiful things even if the artist is not a beautiful person) but do I want to have to see him on future shows making little guest appearances with his ugly neck tatoo? And can someone please explain to me how finding a receipt can determine whether he had other people help him sew his collection? Whatever. Moving on. Are you a TV watcher?

Thursday, March 30, 2006. Tanya Lee Stone - Carrie Bradshaw for teens (minus the shoe obsession). Tanya Lee Stone is up next on the Girlfriend Cyber Circuit Tour. Her young adult novel A BAD BOY CAN BE GOOD FOR A GIRL sounds totally intriguing. As she puts it: Why are so many women attracted to the bad boy? Tanya explores this idea in her novel and takes an honest look at love and sex. A BAD BOY CAN BE GOOD FOR A GIRL is the story of three very different girls and their relationships with one bad boy.

Tuesday, May 16, 2006. Is The Bachelor going to the dogs? Is this freaky, or what? Yesterday I blogged about Alison Pace and her new novel Pug Hill. Today I find out that the next Bachelor has been announced for the ninth edition next Fall - and he has his own company selling high end grooming products for dogs! This time the show is going to be set in Rome. A man whose mission in life is to get dogs to not smell like dogs. Hmmm. the next batch of women on the show better use their deodorant or, ...Aliso...

Anything good on?: America is Voting
http://historyoftelevision.blogspot.com/2007/04/america-is-voting.html
Friday, April 06, 2007. It’s been a long time since I’ve posted and now here’s a long one! I’ve also recently discovered that lots of these shows can be watched on the station websites. You can go there whenever you want and download the video and there are fewer ads. It’s great if you missed an episode or if you want to see Heather Mills do her walkover again. But you know what? It’s just not the same. I find that I like to watch along with America. Who is that host? Is there another Donny Osmond? Somet...
