grateful pie and blessed gravy: Our daily bread
http://pieandgravy.blogspot.com/2015/08/our-daily-bread.html
Thursday, August 6, 2015. This is the video from church on Sunday that I loved. Enjoy. (We are studying the Lord's prayer). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way? Pie and Gravy have long been the sweet nicknames for our children and in times of transition we will always draw near to the moments of joy that we cherish. Thanks for being on this journey with us. My email: stephanie@templinashford.net. Seattle, WA 98109.

grateful pie and blessed gravy: November 2014
http://pieandgravy.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 21, 2014. I'm the lucky one. And the fact is, he never does. He never asks why I need another pair of shoes or another pair of jeans. He never questions my ridiculous grocery purchases reflecting whatever eating fad I'm on that week. He never complains about a single thing I make for dinner. It might sound like a fairytale, but last night he looked at me earnestly asking if he could take me shopping for a nice piece of jewelry because he wants to spoil me. Tuesday, November 18, 2014.

grateful pie and blessed gravy: December 2014
http://pieandgravy.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Gig Harbor Live Nativity. In all of my searching for Christmas events around Seattle one Live Nativity kept coming up as a must-see event. I looked it up and it was over an hour away. I couldn't believe there wouldn't be a nativity closer that would be great, but I was curious so we headed to Gig Harbor Sunday afternoon. I have to say it completely lived up to its reputation! I've never seen anything like this. Fresh bread was handed out. Dried fruits to eat. It was fantastic a...

Saturday, August 30, 2014. Friday 82914 Pacific Science Center. We had so many choices of things to do on Friday and the kids chose the Pacific Science Center. They were showing a special 3d IMAX about Lemurs in Madagascar and the kids really wanted to see it. We walked over to the museum and sat down to eat lunch outside when a seagull swooped down and took Noah's WHOLE sandwich! He was so upset and angry and was cursing seagulls all day. There was a spy exhibit. And we were hidden by our cool 3D glasses.

grateful pie and blessed gravy: February 2015
http://pieandgravy.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2015. Am I old enough for a pillbox? Here is a portion of my first 30 days of meds. Just a small copay of $800. I still prefer it to an Iv chemo. Ready, Set, Not Yet. I feel like I'm spending a lot of time preparing for this next phase to start! I bought a few hats, some from Amazon, some from the American Cancer society (I thought they might be softer and I figure they know what they are doing! Friday, February 27, 2015. Last night Noah was reading and asked to read in bed with me...

grateful pie and blessed gravy: Lake Quinault
http://pieandgravy.blogspot.com/2015/08/lake-quinault.html
Tuesday, August 11, 2015. In mid July our neighbors invited us to join them camping for a few days at Lake Quinault on the Olympic Peninsula. We were planning on camping with PA friends so we joined the two together. Lake Quinault is a beautiful place with a rustic lodge that President Roosevelt had lunch at when he signed papers to make the Olympic Peninsula federal forest land. The common elk found there is thus named the Rosevelt Elk. It was too big to grasp. It as a chance to do interpretative dance ...

Thursday, May 28, 2015. 1st Round Treatment Follow Up. Wednesday I had my appointments to follow up from my first round of treatment. The list of reasons I have to thank God for are endless. It was a day full of good news. First, I had my MRI. It seems like a something simple, and it is. However, I have to get there an hour early and get set up on an IV drip every time I go so that they can put a contrast dye into my body. The dye highlights tumor areas during the MRI. We reviewed my blood work from the ...

Tuesday, January 27, 2015. So many of you have asked for our address. Oh, I forgot to mention we bought a house on Sunday. Nutty, right? Our address at our rental is 1805 3rd ave., n. We were finally able to close on the short sale Accross the street. It needs a lot of tlc but it's a great investment and it keeps the kids with their school and friends. When Paul got there with the CD's and papers they were waiting for him because I had talked to them so much! There have been a couple of big personal deve...

grateful pie and blessed gravy: March 2015
http://pieandgravy.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2015. I'm at the beginning of the half way week which is pretty exciting! I was very impressed. So, at the end of the day their little bodies are tired and they fall right to sleep. For all of this I am grateful. AND I have so much to look forward to and to celebrate. In just a few days my parents will be here for Easter and we are all so excited! Our electrician finished rewiring the new house so now it won't burn down (yes it was that bad). The gas company finally turned the gas ...

Monday, September 29, 2014. Mt Rainier Revisit 083014. Views of Mt. Ranier from Crystal Mountain. This looks so fake, right? The gondola ride back down Crystal Mountain. After Crystal Mountain we headed over to Mt. Rainier National Park and did some of the trail up to the mountain. We saw black tailed deer and chipmunks and marmots. These are hoary marmots. Bremerton Ferry Revisit 083014. There are a bunch of great pictures on my real camera that didn't get loaded until now! Olympic National Park 092714.
