I found this book randomly browsing on the Brooklyn Public Library Digital site. A quick browse on Amazon confirmed that this author was worth looking into and I am so glad I took the chance! I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. Posted by Steph B-More. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 30 Goals in 30 Days: Updates and More.

100 Books In 1 Year: September 2014
http://brainknowledge2010.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
100 Books In 1 Year. Tuesday, September 2, 2014. 32: "The Strain (Book #1)" by Del Toro and Hogan. I have to say the book is an great read. 250 pages of action that starts almost immediately. Watching the show I didn't have a clear grasp on the time frame of the story but the book happens over the course of 4 days (FOUR DAYS! The show is very accurate in regards to the book; almost to the point where I wanted to skip pages of the book to get to the same point I was in the show. But I didn't. 45 out of 5.

100 Books In 1 Year: Book 27: Perfect Peace by Daniel Black
http://brainknowledge2010.blogspot.com/2011/12/book-27-perfect-peace-by-daniel-black.html
100 Books In 1 Year. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Book 27: Perfect Peace by Daniel Black. Once I started this book, I didn't want to put it down. Black has a way with words that makes you feel like you are there in backwoods, growing up with the Peace family. I was excited reading this book, and that hasn't happened in a long time. It will definitely make you think about gender roles and what it means to be a woman/female and man/male. 45 out of 5 stars. Posted by Steph B-More. View my complete profile.

Find it here: http:/ getmunney.blogspot.com/. I will leave this one up only because I don't want to lose these posts and I am trying to find a new way to move them over easily. 100 Books In 1 Year: August 2010
http://brainknowledge2010.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
100 Books In 1 Year. Saturday, August 21, 2010. 20: "Love Lockdown" by Mia Edwards. I have been on this urban novel kick for the summer. I am somewhat ashamed because I feel like I should be reading "deeper" books but this summer has been super crazy so it's hard to focus on anything that requires too much thought other than work and life. Now I know the end but not the beginning. And it's a cliff hanger, so actually I just know the middle. 25 out of 5 stars. Posted by Steph B-More.

100 Books In 1 Year: 30: "Hunger Games" By Suzanne Collins
http://brainknowledge2010.blogspot.com/2012/03/30-hunger-games-by-suzanne-collins.html
100 Books In 1 Year. Friday, March 23, 2012. 30: "Hunger Games" By Suzanne Collins. Without giving away too much more of the story, I have to say I really enjoyed this book. It is written for teens so it's not an overly complicated or heavy book. If I was 15, I'd probably be in love with this book. At the age I am now, I can say that it's a pretty good book and I can't wait to read the next two. 35 out of 5 stars. Sidenote: (random things that stood out to me). Posted by Steph B-More.

100 Books In 1 Year: 28: "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran
http://brainknowledge2010.blogspot.com/2012/02/28-extremely-loud-and-incredibly-close.html
100 Books In 1 Year. Thursday, February 2, 2012. 28: "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran. I just didn't see how their story added to the overall story. And now I wonder how that will play into the movie, which I have yet to see. I won't give away the ending. The book is well written, just boring. I don't know if that makes sense. This was not my cup of tea. I'll say 2.5 out of 5 stars. Posted by Steph B-More. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 30 Goals in 30 Days: Updates and More.

100 Books In 1 Year: Book 26: "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz
http://brainknowledge2010.blogspot.com/2011/10/book-26-four-agreements-by-don-miguel.html
100 Books In 1 Year. Sunday, October 30, 2011. Book 26: "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz. Rarely do I read a book and feel like it is speaking to the person I am trying to become. Last year that book was "The Alchemist". This year, its' Don Miguel Ruiz's "The Four Agreements". In a nut shell, this book is about "The Four Agreements" one must make with his/herself to gain personal growth and freedom. The actual agreements seem quite simple:. Be Impeccable with your word. Always Do Your Best.
