The Roberts' Peace Corps Journey in Honduras. Saturday, November 19, 2011. Are why we are Peace Corps Volunteers. Whereas Wednesday was a bit frustrating, yesterday felt like a golden moment of development and progress. It wasn't perfect, but the seedlings were doing very well, and the neighbor whose yard they were using owns a restaurant and plans to add the veggies into the daily lunch she serves! I thought such progress would only come near the end of our service, but it was incredible!

Months have gone by and it feels like a much shorter amount of a time. i returned from the states to say goodbye to some dear friends and move in with my honduran neighbors. life is good. we are joined by a cat, pancho, and a dog, oso. pancho follows me around and likes to sleep bien pegado. I was walking through the woods the other day trying to sum up my past few months in a couple paragraphs. the walking alone was really nice - i was accompanied by six men, their machetes and the squeaks of our rubber botas. August 20, 2010. I really hated doing laundry in the states. i have been known to wait an entire month just to go to the laundromat and do it all at one time. my way of ripping off the band-aid. Some weird purple. apparently, the soak phase only has a maximum time of 2 hours. good to know. I don't think i'll ever hate washing laundry in one of those fancy machines ever again.
