Somewhere between Marin learning to stand on her own and toddling around while holding onto mom and dad’s fingers, we noticed her right foot facing outward. ROY G BIV (Toddler Activities). Last week I wrote. While Andy watched the girls, I puréed various fruits that Marin likes. Once I had all the fruits nice and mushy, I asked Marin to come help spoon the fruit into the popsicle molds. The next day we got to eat and enjoy what we made. I'm learning that any activity that involves a big reveal is well worth the effort. You should have seen her face when we whipped those out! Also, all of the day's fruit servings in one popsicle? This activity is a keeper.

This One's For the Boy. You Are the Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne on Grooveshark. Me and you, we are reminiscers, and I love that about us. So this morning we did what reminiscers do best on their anniversary. Marin used us as a jungle gym while we went through each year… the moments we laughed the hardest, the adventures we’ve been on, lessons learned, how we can serve each other better in our fifth year. I had forgotton how slow the last couple weeks of pregnancy can be, every cramp being carefully analyzed. It’s such a tortoise and the hare ending to a pregnancy that was getting the reputation for being so speedy. This pregnancy gets compared a lot to my pregnancy with Marin…which how could it not? The two little beans share the same due date. Morning sickness wreaked havoc in the same ways and for the same duration. I’ve gained the same amount of weight with each pregnancy (32 lbs and holding!

We are in Hawaii this week, and sometimes when you are headed to paradise, dues must be paid. Traveling with a little one(s) isn't for the faint of heart or for those lacking in SNACKS. So snacks we had, plus tons of books, games, and diapers for the 12 hours of travel ahead. We were ready for smooth sailing. Then came the detours.
