How to Write a Good Essay (click to download PDF). The emotions play a significant role in our inner lives. Sometimes the emotions act in concert with our cognitive decision-making, and sometimes they crash over our rational thinking like uncontrollable storms. Emotions influence and fuel our behavior, values, art, and other aspects of culture. Yet, systematic study of the emotions is quite recent. In this course we will examine Western psychology and philosophy of emotions. Topics in Philosophy: Anger.

DiggerBren: Book recommendation number two
http://diggerbren.blogspot.com/2010/05/book-recommendation-number-two.html
Monday, May 17, 2010. Book recommendation number two. Two of my favorite things are history books and natural history museums. I like creepy, old dead things with informative placards and bad lighting. If you can kinda smell the weirdness, that's even better. I finally got to go to The Field Museum. In Chicago a few years back. Awesome. Photos are from The Field Museum. My want to visit was sparked by the great book Stuffed Animals and Pickled Heads. The Culture and Evolution of Natural History Museums.

Beijing | Unforbidding City
https://unforbiddingcity.com/2013/07/05/beijing
July 5, 2013 · 8:00 pm. It took us a while, but we finally made it to Beijing a few weeks ago. We hired a tour guide for the three days we were there, knowing that the traffic is absolutely nuts and public transportation gets you only so far. We saw all the highlights. Tiananmen Square. Obviously. Inside the Forbidden City, which is now forbidden only to those who haven’t paid the admission fee. We quickly found that what we had been told was true: many Chinese have never seen a Westerner in person befor...
Who We Are « Anderson Literary Agency
http://andersonliteraryagency.com/who-we-are
Owner and founder Giles Anderson. I started the agency in 2000 after working several years at The Waxman Literary Agency, Zephyr Press, and The Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. Over time my interests have increasingly turned to books that help us understand people, ideas and the possibility of change. From an examination of the religious beliefs of a Founder to the science of motivation, I’m looking for books that surprise, inform and inspire. Latest tweets from @GilesCAnderson.

Stephen Ashurst's Blog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Post #17: Reflection back. April 27, 2010. The number one thing that I will take away from this class is learning that research isn’t just calculations and writing, it is observing people and learning about people in everyday life. We all conduct research and always will. Post 16: The end is near. April 21, 2010. My final essay shows one of my greatest strengths in writing, using emotion.
