Generally I do my group rides based around the forum site of the Ulysses Motorcycle Club, a family based club that would have to have one of the best social networks I have seen.The big advantage of this is that you could be in Canberra one weekend and Coffs Harbour the next. Of course from time to time its nice to go for a run up to Road Warriors Cafe for a bacon and egg roll on a sunny Sunday morning, the ride up is always a casual affair. 4X4 travels around Australia
Back in the mid 1990's I decided to buy a 4X4 ( a short wheelbase Ford Maverick ) and travel around Australia. I did two trips. One covering Queensland and the top end and the other was a quick two month trip through New South Wales, South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia. The later trip I did on my own. Some of the most memorable places to visit were Wilpena Pound, Alice Springs, Darwin, South of Perth and Streaky Bay in South Australia. Return to Australia Map. Return to Main Site.

My new Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird. My Suzuki GSX750F Sports Tourer. On the wall of my office I had a poster of a guy riding a Harley, complete with attractive girl riding pillion. . One of the guys kept asking me when are you going to get a bike? So eventually I did . Some people tell me that motorcycles are a risk ( yes I admit I have lost two friends in bike accidents ). I hear the same old cliches from the safety police about being a temporary citizen. Is not taking any risks at all.
