Graham Smith Writer: August 2013
http://grahamsmithwriter.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 6 August 2013. This week I've handed my blog over to Stephen Jay Schwartz, a guy whose novels have been steadily climbing Mount to be Read. Our distinguished host, Graham Smith, asked me to discuss the challenges of setting a detective novel in Los Angeles, where such established greats as Connelly, Crais, Parker and Kellerman already set their dramas. I must admit, in retrospect it seems like a daunting endeavor. Fortunately, I had ignorance and naivete on my side. So, the truth is that I didn'...

Mary Stella's Postcards from Paradise: April 2011
http://marystella.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 29, 2011. I woke up feeling sick to my stomach in the middle of the night. After about an hour of tossing and turning, I accepted that I wasn't going to fall back to sleep anytime soon. Rather than staring at the ceiling, at least there was something fun to watch on television. You might have heard something about it - the Royal Wedding? No worry about traffic tie-ups with the roads cleared along the route. Those Bentleys and Rolls arrived at Westminster exactly when expected. The newscaste...

A Case of Murder: October 2010
http://caseofmurder.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
A Case of Murder. Going Down Mean Streets since 2006. Sunday, October 31, 2010. Weekend TV: Life 1.1. Hulu has yet again pushed back their streaming of the third season of SONS OF ANARCHY, so I've decided to highlight an overlooked and underappreciated noir series from 2007-2009, called LIFE. The entire 2-season run is on Hulu, and doesn't expire until September of next year, so we'll be able to go through one episode a week and finish with plenty of time. Labels: In Search of Noir.
