Stephen Nesser, MFA. Growing Old: A Love Story. Y first successful artwork was a pencil drawing of a bluegill we kept in an aquarium. Finishing that drawing was a defining moment, because for the first time I believed I could be an artist. Drawings continue to hold a special place in my heart, and I carry a pencil and pad on all my travels to create a visual diary. In 2011 I began drawing on toned paper with pencil and white chalk. Growing Old: A Love Story. Is my second drawing in this new style.

The National Parks of Iceland added one of my paintings to their collection in May 2014. The Museum of Flight, Seattle, Washington, added one of my paintings to their permanent collection in November 2013.
