The Way of the Writer: Novel Territory
http://wayofthewriter.blogspot.com/2011/09/novel-territory.html
The Way of the Writer. The Online Home of Speculative Fiction Writer M.S. James. Standard Manuscript Format for Dummies. Saturday, September 24, 2011. So I'm writing a novel. Nothing new about that. I've started, what? Five or ten novels in the last decade, easily. I even wrote a whole first draft while listening to mortars scream in the blue skies of Baghdad. So why am I announcing I'm writing a novel? Because this is one I'm going to finish. In short, you can do whatever the hell you want. Yep, Im in t...

Write 1 Sub 1. Is the brainchild of Milo James Fowler. And Stephen V. Ramey. Who are an all-around talented and inspiring bunch of guys. The idea is to adopt Ray Bradbury’s early method of writing a story a week and sending it out. There are options for those who want to adapt the plan to fit their needs, such as a story a month, a story every two weeks, or even other variations. The point is to regularly produce work and submit it. WRITE 1 SUB 1 2011 STATS (Last Updated 2/12/2012). Written in 2011: 43.

I’m not even going to try to detail everything since September in this one update. But I hope to post about different things in the coming week that should hit everything worth hitting. Since my last post in September, I encountered what Dean Wesley Smith and his wife call a Life Roll. To get out of there for health and sanity, I found an apartment a mile away, in my price range, with a landlord who didn’t mind me bringing the dog. I signed the lease that very afternoon, though I’d never ...Here’s ...

In other news, the story I got a tiny start on this month,. September Flash Blast at Boot Camp Keegan. Boot Camp...
