But I wanted to take a moment to write a post about my first birthday celebration since becoming a mommy. And that wasn't the only surprise when I got home. My mother-in-law had gotten me a few gifts, including the gift I really wanted for spending time with my girl while running: a jogging stroller. We tried it out on the Greenway, although we only walked this time.

We've seen her roll over, we've introduced her to new foods, and we've had to deal with some not-so-pleasant firsts like immunizations and sickness. So, I often forget that I'm also experiencing some firsts for myself. And yesterday was one of those firsts: my first Mother's Day. Our first family picture, flowers and a lovely card. I'm a lucky lady, for sure.
