Gibson Grapevine: No Cussing Club
http://gibsongrapevine.blogspot.com/2010/01/no-cussing-club.html
As mentioned in the previous post, Aspen is currently dealing with something difficult. Difficult for her. After mentioning it to a friend of mine, she told me about this video clip. I'm looking forward to sharing it with Aspen:. I like this a lot. One of the things I do all the time is come up with funny non-offensive replacement words for curse words. Lately Ive really been enjoying the word, fartipotamus! January 12, 2010 at 3:47 PM. January 13, 2010 at 1:23 PM. January 13, 2010 at 9:32 PM.

Gibson Grapevine: The Town In Which We Live, by Geoff Gibson
http://gibsongrapevine.blogspot.com/2007/12/town-in-which-we-live-by-geoff-gibson.html
The Town In Which We Live, by Geoff Gibson. We live in Oklahoma. Our town has all the modern advances in transportation technology. But when all else fails, you can always just hook up a trailer to your riding lawn mower and use that! Gas prices are no match for Oklahoma know-how! This is the local answer to those new-fangled "hybrid" vehicles those hippies enjoy so much out there in California. December 10, 2007 at 10:49 AM. You need to send this in to david letterman or something. jay leno? Thanks to J...

Gibson Grapevine: A Good News Sandwich
http://gibsongrapevine.blogspot.com/2009/11/good-news-sandwich.html
A Good News Sandwich. Our television died today. This television has been a loyal family friend ever since we were married. We had a small 13 in television when we got married and a good friend of ours traded us that small t.v. for a larger 25 in t.v. shortly after we were married. It was several years old to her then and has been a part of our family for more than 10 years. Where does the sandwich come in? When I called Geoff to let him know, I told him that I had a Good News Sandwich to share with him:.

Gibson Grapevine: Wow. I Love Her.
http://gibsongrapevine.blogspot.com/2010/01/wow-i-love-her.html
Wow I Love Her. I wrote this post the first of November. I'm making efforts to return to blogging. As Aspen entered the van after school today she announced that something really bad happened at school today. When I asked her what it was she told me that she would have to tell me later in private. Later in private. she came into my room and shut the door. She informed me that today at school her two best friends both used the 'F' word and the 'B' word. Her: "I don't know what to do about it.". Awww how s...

Gibson Grapevine: Eight Years Ago Today
http://gibsongrapevine.blogspot.com/2009/09/eight-years-ago-today.html
Eight Years Ago Today. Seems like a lifetime ago. yet just like yesterday. Another year has gone by. Yet. I still remember. There will forever be a scarred piece of my heart in reference to the suffering and trauma that took place on 9-11-2001. We celebrate this day cause its Maikas birthday, however we also remember those lost. It was also the first day for us to peek in on Kai with an u/s! Wanna talk mixed emotions? Thanks Steph for the reminder :). September 18, 2009 at 7:53 AM. Wouldn't It Be Awful If.

Gibson Grapevine: Pay it Forward
http://gibsongrapevine.blogspot.com/2010/12/pay-it-forward.html
I proceeded to the Drive-thru and placed my order. When I got to the window to pay the cashier said, "The lady in front of you has paid for your lunch. She said that she witnessed you doing something nice for someone else and wanted to pay for your food." I was so very touched. I almost cried. "Thank you, Sweet-Lady-Who-Paid-For-My-Lunch! This is the idea behind the phrase "Pay it Forward". There was a touching movie made in 2000 about this very thing: Pay it Forward. That is a very cool story Steph.

Gibson Grapevine: Treasurer?
http://gibsongrapevine.blogspot.com/2010/05/treasurer.html
When Aspen got in the car today after school she said, "I had to write a speech today.". I said, "Oh really? She said, "I'm running for treasurer of the National Elementary Honor Society.". I said, "That's great! She said, "Because I like money.". Here are some photos of Aspen at the NEHS Induction Ceremony. Most of these kids looked oh so happy to be there, didn't they? We're very proud of you Aspen! Good to feel proud, huh? May 20, 2010 at 11:35 PM. I do, however, realize that the disappointments await.

Mission: Kill Mouse {an update}. Unfortunately, the little bugger has not been caught yet. It's actually starting to cause me some major anxiety. Sometimes, when I'm driving, I imagine him coming out and running across my toes or (even worse) up my pant leg! You laugh. but this is real stuff, folks! I picture having a major accident while trying to frantically get away from him! What am I going to do? I can't live like this! Mission: Kill Mouse {The Finale}. OOOoooo, talk about heebie jeebies! Gibson Grapevine: A Bad News Sandwich
http://gibsongrapevine.blogspot.com/2009/11/bad-news-sandwich.html
A Bad News Sandwich. I have very vivid memories of when I was a kid and my parents used to hit the side and/or top of the television to make it work. I've always wondered how this solution came to be. I imagine my mom or dad got really mad at the t.v. because it wasn't working and punched it real hard and. voila! I posted yesterday how our t.v. died. In reality, it was still mostly. Now, for The Bad News Sandwich. Bad news is: the t.v. started working again so chances are slim for buying a new one. Inter...
