Monday, July 19, 2010. Bon anivèsè means good birthday or happy birthday in Creole. In our visit in March we learned all about the orphans and how they got to MOH. We were told that the kids don't know their birthdays and that broke my heart. From then I knew that the next time I went back I wanted to throw them a birthday party. I love to plan things and parties are the most fun! That day was one of the best days I have had in Haiti, everyone was so happy and enjoying life. Thursday, July 15, 2010.

Sunday, June 6, 2010. It is now less the 24 hours until I'm back in Haiti and most likely sleeping! I'm not nervous anymore all excitement! Our team is bonding very well and friendships have started growing. We had a pool party for the team then later that night a bonfire for all our friends! At the beginning I was nervous because it was going to be a different team and although I wish that the Spring Break team was coming I'm excited that there are new people! Well I will be updating as much as I can!

Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Next Stop, Haiti! Cars have the right of way in Haiti. We were taken to a parking lot across the street to a bus and loaded our bags then waited for another person who was coming in. We waited for awhile but there was a storm where she was coming from so her flight got held up. While we waited we got some Haitian Soda which was way to sugary for me! We finally got to the mission! Friday, June 17, 2011. The children are like no one I have ever met before. They just want to be loved, they want to be held and… they want candy! It’s not every day that they get to see themselves especially on a computer! The last day that I was there Angela (her husband Gama is the Clerk of the Works for BLB) and I did a clinic in the new organized pharmacy, it was awesome! Nobody’s perfect apparently, but it seems these days having the ideal body, the ‘right’ figure brings you pretty close. On a typical beach the range of body shapes and sizes varies dramatically and why shouldn’t it? It would be boring if everyone had the same hairstyle; so does the same concept not apply to body shape? Is it skinny or muscly, toned or tanned? Does it even exist?
