Handmade instruments by Tate Chmielewski. Made from cigar boxes, skulls and other found objects. CigarBox Kalimba - 15 note. This one is a step up from the first one, with 15 notes. This time the tines are made from bike spokes, came out really good sounding! Cigar box, bike spokes for the tines, padauk and brass where the tines sit and holding them down is 2 bolts through walnut wood with another piece inside the box. This one with a longer scale length then I usually do, 17 inches. Rosewood finger board - bridge - end where the strings rest, ebony nut, popular neck with rosewood heel cap.
