Saturday, September 22, 2012. This happy girl turned 5! And she couldn't be more excited. Her one request for a present was these Barbie movies. The little doll came free, and I am glad it did because an hour later Jimmer got a hold of it and chewed one of the hands off, the crown, and then was attempting to chew the other hand off and the face. We had a party later that evening. Her theme was Hello Kitty. She invited 8 little friends and it was pure chaos! Here they are pinning the bow on Hello Kitty.

Tuesday, October 29, 2013. I know what you are thinking. "Is this a festival where a bunch of rednecks walk around with mullets! No But I thought the same thing when I heard about the festival. Apparently it is a type of fish. And like any festival it is packed full of rides, games, and food. We got to try "gator-on-a-stick". The bite I took didn't have too much meat, and so it just tasted a lot like fried foods. Jon said it did have a different taste, and it wasn't too bad. Posted by Melanie Bassett.

Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Jaedon turned 7 on the 17th. The kid was so excited that he went to bed way late and then was up at 6am! The one thing that he said he wanted was a CuddleUppet, an alligator. You would think it would be some kind of awesome toy or something that would be at the top of his list, but no, a blanket that is a puppet. We love the kid though. Love is patient, love is kind. Sunday, December 14, 2008. I am so proud of Tristen right now. She did her dance performance yesterday and she was incredible. She knew every single move and did them all right on time. I really didn't even practice with her at all, but we have had Christmas music going all month and every time "I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" she would start doing the dance. Monday, June 1, 2015. Playing Catch-up Part 2 (November-present). We were able to go on a mini vacation to the Dinosaur National Park in Utah over Memorial weekend. The kids loved it! We went early enough that we were able to park at the Quarry. As you can see, it was a little wet, and when we went on our mini hike it started sprinkling so we didn't go on the full hike. Thursday, June 16, 2011. A few weeks ago, we had our family pictures taken. I LOVE how they turned out. The pictures were taken in front of my Grandma Hogge's by an old truck. The photographer is amazing! So now they, the in-laws, and the grandparents get to have new, updated Calvin Family pictures! I can't say for certain which ones I like best because I love them all. Wednesday, February 8, 2012. I have been neglectful! This past fall/winter we have been busy. So here's what I've missed. The end of summer fun (I actually think this was taken after school started on a very hot day). Even John found out how much fun sprinklers can be! Don't know how I captured all the water droplets, but yeah! Grace had her 3rd birthday on Aug. 31st. One of her "presents" was a suburban (or a weburban, according to Grace) that we just happened to buy on her birthday. Sorry about the blur.
